Getting to the Conference Venue

Hotel Pyramida is located near the tram station “Malovanka” (lines 15, 22, 23 and 25) or the bus stations “Pod Královkou” (line 217) and “Malovanka” (lines 143, 149 and 217).

Public Transport

Check the Prague Public Transport Authority website for information about fares and available tickets.
A 24-hour ticket (CZK 100 / € 4) or a 3-day ticket (CZK 330 / € 13) is recommended for conference visitors.

Airport

  • Prague Airport official website.

  • Taxi – expensive but fastest way. Take yellow AAA Taxi cars.
  • Hotel Pyramida pick-up service (paid) is available.
  • Bus #119 can be used to get to the subway station “Dejvická” on Metro line “A”.
    This station is also bus terminal and bus #143 (or 149 or 217) can be used to get from the subway station “Dejvická” to the Hotel Pyramida (bus stop “Pod Královkou” or “Malovanka”).

Train

You will probably arrive at the main railway station “Hlavní nádraží”. Use the subway to get to the hotel – you will have to change from line “C” to “A” at “Muzeum” station.

Car

At the Hotel Pyramida, valet parking is available in a guarded parking lot.

From Austria via Brno (Brünn), Motorway D1 (E65)

  • Enter the country at Hatě, follow road E59 and join D1 (E65) or enter at Mikulov, follow road E461 to Brno and join D1 (E65).
  • Follow D1 (E65) to Praha (Prague) and take exit onto E50 toward Karlovy Vary, Plzeň.
  • Continue on Barrandovský most (bridge) – keep in left lane on bridge.
  • Continue on Dobříšská (signs for Košíře/Plzeň) and drive into tunnel Mrázovka.
  • Continue on Strahovský tunel (tunnel) and keep right lane. Turn right at Patočkova.
  • Turn right at Myslbekova and turn right again at Bělohorská.
  • After 500m you will reach hotel – on the right side.

From Austria via České Budějovice (Budweis), Road E55

  • Enter the country at Dolní Dvořiště and follow road E55 to České Budějovice.
  • Continue on road 20 (E49) toward Písek/Vodňany.
  • After passing Písek continue on road 4 toward Praha (after 10 km). It will later change into highway-like road (50 km).
  • Follow the road and take ramp onto Strakonická.
  • Continue on Dobříšská (signs for Košíře/Plzeň) and drive into tunnel Mrázovka.
  • Continue on Strahovský tunel (tunnel) and keep right lane. Turn right at Patočkova.
  • Turn right at Myslbekova and turn right again at Bělohorská.
  • After 500m you will reach hotel – on the right side.

From Germany via Plzeň (Pilsen), Motorway D5 (E50)

  • Enter the country at Rozvadov and follow D5 (E50) to Plzeň and Prague (Praha).
  • Take exit 1 to merge onto road 1 (E48) – direction Praha-Ruzyně (airport).
  • Take exit 26 to merge onto road 1 (E48) – direction Praha-Ruzyně/Praha-Řepy, merge onto road 6 (Karlovarská).
  • Follow main road – it will turn into Bělohorská. Turn slight left to Patočkova (follow main road).
  • Turn right at Myslbekova and turn right again at Bělohorská.
  • After 500m you will reach hotel – on the right side.

From Germany via Ústí nad Labem, Motorway D8 (E55)

  • Enter the country using A17/D8 (E55) and follow D5 (E50) to Prague (Praha).
  • Continue on Cínovecká, Liberecká, V Holešovičkách.
  • Cross the bridge and continue on Argentinská and Za viaduktem.
  • Follow nábřeží (river bank) kapitána Jaroše and turn right into Letenský tunel (tunnel).
  • After tunnel turn left into Milady Horákové and follow this street. Later it will become Patočkova.
  • Turn left at Myslbekova and then right at Bělohorská.
  • After 500m you will reach hotel – on the right side.

From Germany or Poland via Turnov, Motorway R10 (E65/E442)

  • Follow R10 (E65) to Prague (Praha).
  • Continue on Jižní spojka (signs for E48, Karlovy Vary, Plzeň).
  • Continue on Barrandovský most (bridge) – keep in left lane on bridge.
  • Continue on Dobříšská (signs for Košíře/Plzeň) and drive into tunnel Mrázovka.
  • Continue on Strahovský tunel (tunnel) and keep right lane. Turn right at Patočkova.
  • Turn right at Myslbekova and turn right again at Bělohorská.
  • After 500m you will reach hotel – on the right side.

From Poland via Hradec Králové, Motorway D11 (E67)

  • Enter the country at Náchod, follow road E67 and join D11 (E65) near Hradec Králové.
  • Follow D11 (E67) to Prague (Praha) and take exit onto E65 toward Praha-Centrum.
  • Continue on Jižní spojka (signs for E48, Karlovy Vary, Plzeň).
  • Continue on Barrandovský most (bridge) – keep in left lane on bridge.
  • Continue on Dobříšská (signs for Košíře/Plzeň) and drive into tunnel Mrázovka.
  • Continue on Strahovský tunel (tunnel) and keep right lane. Turn right at Patočkova.
  • Turn right at Myslbekova and turn right again at Bělohorská.
  • After 500m you will reach hotel – on the right side.
In the Czech Republic, the use of highways and speedways by motor vehicles is subject to a fee. A 7-day coupon for cars (up to 3.5 tons) costs CZK 220 / € 9. More information about fees and motorways can be found on the Czech Motorways website. A fine of CZK 5,000 / € 190 may be imposed if a road subject to a fee is used without a valid 2-part coupon!
